My sister says weird stuff

My sister, who lives in France, said: "In Paris, if they see you with a plastic bag at the store, they kill you!"

I hope this is a figure of speech. I hope she meant, "They kill you... with their eyes."

    In paris, it appears that you can live longer if you are seen at a store with corn-derived 'plastic' bags or reusable plastic bags !

  2. I find it humorous to see people request their purchase be bagged (typically a plastic bag), then put their bagged purchase into yet another plastic bag, or into a tote bag. Are they afraid that, if un-bagged, the purchased items will contaminate the other items in their bags? Or, do they need the all the plastic bags for a litter box that requires frequent scooping? ;-)
